The problem is they’re open to everything. God didn’t promise you a chakra. He didn’t promise you good vibes or an alignment of the stars. He promised you His Spirit. And here’s the test for all of it: God never says anything that contradicts his word. So when the feeling or the “God told me” doesn’t line up with Scripture, that wasn’t the Spirit. That was just your good idea.

The fight is that the church stopped naming its own code, the one for how we handle money, sex, speech, and each other, because we didn’t want to offend anyone. A church that looks exactly like the world it’s trying to reach has nothing left to offer it. There’s a better way. It’s older than the outrage.
