Week of August 23, 2026
This week's sermon looks at who our real opponent actually is and why Paul calls it a "wrestling match" instead of a distant war. This week's episode of The Analog Gospel podcast reviews if our prayers change God's mind and if they don't, what's the point?

What to Do
A few practical things to do this week.
- Start your prayer with praise. Before you ask for anything, say one true thing about who God is. That is where Jesus starts the model prayer in Matthew 6:9.
- Pray the promise before you pray the problem. Find God’s will over your situation in his word and start there. He wants you holy. He wants your neighbor saved. He wants his kingdom to come. Get to the mortgage after that.
- Stop saying “I’ll pray for you.” Pray right then. In the lobby, in the text thread, on the phone. Twenty seconds.
- Pray out loud this week. Your spouse, your kids, or your Formation Group.
